About Sarah
Dr Sarah Kamel graduated from The University of Melbourne and undertook her clinical training at the PeterMac Cancer Centre and St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Melbourne. Dr Sarah has an interest in bleeding and clotting disorders. She is dual trained in haematology with qualifications not only in clinical haematology, but laboratory haematology as well. This allows Dr Sarah to seamlessly integrate laboratory testing into clinical care.
Dr Sarah Kamel has also undertaken further post graduate study at Monash University in the area of Perioperative Medicine. This subspecialty aims to optimise patients before and after major surgical procedures.
Dr Sarah uses the most up to date evidence based medicine in the care of her patients. She is a member of the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand, the American Society of Hematology in addition to the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
